DialogBuilderâ„¢ was a tool for creating different types of panels, forms and dialog boxes to be used in applications from Xanthus. It supported the Xanthus Common Language (XCL), a uniform scripting language used in all Xanthus software products with scripting capabilities. XCL gave you a uniform scripting syntax and a common set of basic functions. In addition, XCL allowed you to write external functions in XCL or in Objective C that could be used by any XCL-based application from Xanthus.

The semantics of a DialogBuilder panel was described in XCL. In any XCL application, you could invoke a DialogBuilder panel with a simple function call. For example, a DialogBuilder panel could be used as a specialized data entry form for a Questor worksheet or an OpenBase database.
