Given the time on the market
and the number of computers sold, the impact of NeXT in
certain vertical markets and the number of programs
developed on NeXT was unreasonable....... why?
It was no accident. NeXT courted developers the only way
that developers would respect and respond to... not with
huge marketing budgets but with dramatically superior
development tools, many of which are in use today under Mac
OS X.
