MacToPfa

MacToPfa was part of Trilithon Font Tools for NeXTStep. When you couldn't obtain Type 1 font programs in a format suitable for NeXTSTEP, you could obtain fonts in Macintosh format and use MacToPfa to convert the fonts to NeXTStep format and install them on your NeXTSTEP
system.

Its interface was easy to use - just drag Macintosh-format font files into MacToPfa and the fonts were converted to the correct format and installed for you. MacToPfa understood Macintosh font file formats on systems running NeXTStep Release 3.0 and later.

If Macintosh fonts came without AFM (Adobe Font Metric) files, MacToPfa used the NeXTSTEP Display PostScript server to obtain AFM data straight from the converted font. MacToPfa generated AFM data for both encoded characters and unencoded characters.
