ErgoCim/CS
ErgoCim/CS was a complete solution for manufacturing and
industrial automation and for supervisory control.
With ErgoCim, you could create human-machine interfaces
(HMIs) using meters, scroll graphs, annunciators and
Standard geometric shapes. ErgoCim featured full enterprise
networking support, sophisticated alarm management, stored
multimedia maintenance data and CAD drawings and full
expandability via optional object libraries. It was perhaps
the easiest to use automation product on any platform but
achieved this by leveraging off NeXTStep and object
orientation without compromising features.
ErgoCim was a client/server product. The client objects
were the system's user interface and HMIs. Servers collect
data and provide control to the real-world components of
your automation system. Servers were available for (E)ISA
boards, PLCs and other industrial controllers. Multiple
mirrored servers provide easy fault tolerance and
redundancy.
ErgoCim was completely integrated with any Database
Kit-supported SQL database. Stored historical data could be
analyzed directly using standard tools on many computers,
including DOS and MS-Windows applications, Quattro Pro and
Lotus 1-2-3.
