VisChem
3D Modelling
With VisChem 3D Modelling, you could create
PostScript-quality, three-dimensional molecules models
based on the coordinates of the molecule obtained by x-ray
structure analysis or ab initio calculations.
With simple mouse operations, the models could be rotated
around all axes and scaled without loss in quality. The
user had complete control over color, display and design of
atoms and bonds. The model was created by simply listing
acorn coordinates.
The attributes of atoms, like radius and preassigncd color,
were entered by clicking a button in a matrix representing
the periodic table of elements. Bonds between atoms were
calculated automatically and you had the choice of
displaying them or not. There was no needed to specify the
bonds, which considerably reduced the work necessary for
creating a model. The resulting model could be dragged into
VisualChemistry documents or pasted into any other
publishing application.
