Digital Psychoacoustic Laboratory

Digital Psychoacoustic Laboratory (DPL) was a DFG-enhancing set of software modules for performing experiments related to psychoacoustics. It included various presentation panels for automatic testing of subject responses.

Sound files produced by DFG (Digital Function Generator), DFG-EX (Digital Function Generator-Extended), or other sound-generating applications were stored in a sound box, from which they could be retrieved in sequence or in random order by the DPL software. The subject's responses were recorded in a data file for later analysis. DPL was an ideal tool for teaching and research in the fields of acoustics, psychoacoustics, neurology, and audiology.
