dlbase

dlbase was a set of database tools developed by Cubiculum Systems, a subsidiary of ABComputcrs, as a multifunctional product. These tools were intended to allow easy conversion between several data formats that support a table paradigm similar to a database. The number of formats supported was expandable. Support for Xbasc files (dBase, FoxPro, Clipper), popular spreadsheet files, ASCII files, and other formats was planned.

The product also functions as a low-end database server that allowed cost-efficient development of database-oriented applications in conjunction with the NEXTSTEP Database Kit.
