IXAdaptor
IXAdaptor provided a Database Kit adaptor co NEXTSTEP'S Indexing Kit. IXAdaptor allowed single-user applications needing multiple tables or record types to easily store and access data through the Database Kit, without resorting to archive files. Applications could then dynamically perform selects (with or without joins), updates and inserts through the standard Database Kit operations, treating the Indexing Kit's store files much like a relational database.
IXAdaptor also allowed for database creation and schema modification directly within the DBModeler application, without the need tor additional tools, For many Database Kit applications, IXAdapior provided a simple, low-cost alternative to databases such as ORACLE and SYBASE SQL Server.
