Complete Access

CompleteAccess1
This database report-writing application featured Model, Data Set, Layouts, Queries, and Calculations component types. Each component was created independently of the others and then combined to create the reports. Complete Access included formatting options for dates, times, numbers, and page numbers. A true paper interface showed where pages break and margins lie for each page. A charting feature produced charts for inclusion in reports. It included both a graphical query builder and an SQL editor.

The Model component defined the data presented in reports, established relationships between entities, and read and wrote the DBModeler file format. The Data Set component controlled the flow of data in and out of a container and stored the data downloaded from a database, imported from a file, or manually entered by the user. The Layout components were the physical documents created. Layout types included: hierarchical report, form, labels, form letter, summary, list view, and envelopes. The Calculations components included: 100 built-in functions in 8 categories: math, trigonometric, text, logical, statistical, financial, date/time, and file system. Query components allowed users to build complex queries and identify the records to be retrieved from the database.
