ASCIIVision Terminal Emulator
ASCIIVision was an integrated NeXTStep application that provided concurrent terminal access to up to 64 ASCII hosts. ASCIIVision combined full-featured terminal emulation (VT100, VT220, VT320 and others) with advanced productivity options and file transfer facilities. ASCIIVision provided seamless integration of host resources into the NeXTSTEP operating environment. File transfer options included X/Y/Z Modem, Kcrmit and FTP protocol support, as well as unattended and batch file transfer facilities. ASCIIVision users could access hosts through a variety of network and dial-up configuration options. The ASCIIVisionAPI interface allowed users to create their own custom applications that provided seamless integration of AS/400, IBM mainframe, and ASCII host information and resources.
ASCIIVision offered its users a variety of methods and options to enhance their interaction with hosts and to increase efficiency and productivity. A drag-and-drop graphical keyboard editor, SoftKeys, UserKey macros. Smart Copy and Paste options and on-screen keyboard panels give ASCIIVision users the power and flexibility they needed for maximum productivity.
